Does this picture call upon those moments when your child can get so upset that they'll blow up in 1.2 seconds? Well, my kids are no different as each of our little people are growing, navigating and trying to understand this big world they're a part of and how or where they fit in. They too will go through the ups and downs of emotions that will trigger frustration, upset, hurt and disappointment within them. So, what are we to do? First and foremost we are called to model, teach, offer examples and explain other ways to channel the instinctual reaction of anger and frustration. In today's video message I share a proud parenting moment with my son and how he chose to go inward in order to self-regulate his upset, frustration and anger. May this story offer a real life example of how our daily efforts to step back, reflect and model more mindful responses in our parenting will give our children a wealth of positive approaches to reference and use when it's their turn to figure out and self-mange their very own emotions. Share your thoughts with me and remember to stay motivated and inspired to PARENT DIFFERENTLY. Your best self and parent is ready to be unleashed! Worry? Anxiety? Guilt? Frustration? Anger? Easily triggered? You're not alone in feeling this way with your parenting. Start course correcting the baggage that makes its way into your parenting.
